When most people hear the word television, most anyone can tell you what one is. When people say the name Philo Farnsworth almost no one can tell you who he is. But the fact of the matter is he is the true creator of the television. So, my partner and I chose the topic of the television for our historical website. The television is our main topic because of the huge impact it has had on the entire world. The television was the first of its kind back in the 1920’s.

We began our research on our topic by traveling to the public library and checking out books that had do with the television. Then we went to Cuesta College computer lab and searched all about our topic. Then we looked all over the web for more information about the television and the creator. It took us many hours to find enough information for our website to even start to be created. We had a hard time getting together because we were busy almost all of the time. Alex had basketball every Tuesday and Thursday and games on Saturday. We had homework every night and sometimes it was overwhelming, preventing us from coming together to work on History Day. Also, we had finals that we had to study for. But in the end we had enough time to get just enough sources for our historical website.

We used Microsoft FrontPage to create our website. After that, we acquired pictures from the internet to incorporate them in our web pages. We began to work on the biography of the infamous creator of the television Philo Farnsworth. We looked all throughout the information we gathered to find anything that related to the biography. Then we wrote the biography of Farnsworth. After that we worked on designing the website itself. Next, we added some information to the website that we made from Microsoft FrontPage. Then we wrote everything down that we used in our annotated bibliography, so we could keep track of all our important research about out topic. We worked on it for countless hours at Alex’s house. We then worked on the title page and the Development page for our website. Next, we worked on the title page which was pretty easy.

Some people may think a television has impacted the world in many ways throughout history, and they are quite right. The television was the first of its kind and the best. Americans and everyone has enjoyed television and still do today. It is a landmark in mechanical and electronic history. It has impacted the world from the 1920’s to the present day. To, finish it off our website talks all about the history of television. We did this to show the changes and advancements made in technological history.
