MODERN EFFECT

The decryption of the German code gave the Allied Powers useful information that led to their victory.  If the Enigma machine had never been discovered, there would have been a greater possibility for the war to have lasted longer and maybe even ending up with the Axis Powers as the victors.  Not only did the decryption of Nazi communications lead to the end of the war, but also new methods of decrypting messages.  The methods used at Bletchley Park revolutionized decryption methods for our present.  Even today, in our highly technological world, there are traces of the methods used at Bletchley Park to decode messages today.

"During World War II the German armed forces top secret codes were broken at Bletchley Park, providing the allies with vital information towards their war effort." [Inter Direct 2004]
